Green card lottery interview.

Green card lottery interview and changing of your status will start from 01st of October every year and it will continue till the visas exhaust or till the fiscal year program closes officially on 30th September. Those selected people if sent their visa application forms in time to the KCC.

The KCC will send second letter according to the case numbers and you can check it in advance in the visa bulletin pages of the State Department web site.

If you are a DV-2013 visa lottery winner then you can expect your interview to take place from 01/10/2012 till 30/09/2013.

On the day of the interview you must provide all the required documents to the consular officer and have to pay the fees for the visa processing. Green card primary lottery applicant and each of his/her dependants must pay a non refundable visa fee of US$ 819 each. If you are alone then you will pay US$ 819 only. If you have 3 dependants, then you must pay 819 X 4 = 3,276 US$. Take note for any reason if the visas are refused then the visa fees will not refunded by the embassy. Also there is no place to complaint about the refusal.

All DV applicants are requested to bring the following documents. Documents should be arranged separately for each applicant in the same order.

• Original Marriage Certificate & Photocopy
• English translation of Marriage Certificate & Photocopy
• Original Divorce Certificate – Decree absolute & Photocopy (Only if applicable) English translation (Only if applicable)& Photocopy
• Original Death Certificate & Photocopy (Only if applicable), English translation (Only if applicable) & Photocopy
• Medicals Reports & only one photocopy of the reports
• If the applicant has lived in any other country for more than six months police clearance report from that country is required
• 2 Color Photographs -2" X 2" front view, white background
