Green Card Lottery Case Numbers.

Green card lottery case numbers are issued to each green card lottery selectees every year by the KCC. These case numbers will decide when the winner is going to the interview if the visas are available for that fiscal year program. This case numbers starts from 1 and can go up to 80,000. Normally the case numbers starts with the fiscal year followed by the region and the unique case number.

There are six regions as Africa, Asia Europe, North America, Oceania and South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

From October 1st the case numbers will be called for the interview in the order of the case number. Case number 001 will be called fist followed by 2, 3 and it will continue till the visas exhaust or the program close on 30th September officially.

In the mean time those green card lottery winners staying in the USA legally can contact the USCIS office to change their current status to the American LPR status when their case numbers are current. All the selected winners can check when their case numbers becoming current in the American Government's visa bulletin which is published every month in the internet.

The case number will be sent to the green card lottery winner with the winning notification with the machine readable bar code. Whenever you contact the KCC as a winner you will be asked for your case number.
