Apply for the Green card lottery

2013 Green card lottery program allows eligible people to apply for the US visa lottery program through the online E-DV entry when the application form is available for to download and fill and submit it back. Greencard lottery application form is available only in the official web site. Although you can use private companies, law firm, immigration service providers web sites to apply for you. These web sites may ask to pay them through credit cards or bank orders. The charges may differ from company to company. Some companies may ask you to pay for two to three year program fee at one go.

This year 2011, Green card lottery program will start on 04/10/2011 and will close on 05/11/2011 after providing the application forms for a period of 32 days in the internet through the American Government's official web site. The program is popularly known as greencard lottery but it is officially named as diversity visa lottery and in short it is called as dv lottery.

You must understand that an eligible country person who meets the education and or work experience can submit only one entry for a fiscal year visa lottery program as a primary applicant.

If more than one entry is submitted for a person as primary applicant all the entries will be removed regardless of who had made those entries for that fiscal year program.

Also you can directly apply for the program in the greencard lottery entry submission period. The entry submission period will be kept open for a period of 32 days every year. The E-DV entry form available dates will be announced by the US state department, well in time through US Embassies and Medias all over the world. Mean while many private companies offer their own application form in the internet where some are true and some are fake.

If you are a married person there will be place in the application form for you to add your spouse and eligible children. Failure to include your spouse and eligible children will result in rejection of your entry from the green card lottery program.

It is not necessary to be a married person to participate in the green card lottery. If you are single person play the lottery as a single person.

To apply for the greencard lottery you must have the following requirements.

1. Must be a native of an eligible country. (For the 2013 greencard lottery Bangladesh born people are not eligible.)
2. Must be more than 18 years of age on the day of applying.
3. Must have required education or work experience as per the 2013 greencard lottery instructions.
4. If married person must include spouse and all the eligible children in the application form except those children who are American citizen or LPR holders.
5. Must be ready to pay the American immigrant visa fee of US$ 819 for the winner and each of the dependants to must pay US$819.
6. Must be ready to provide form I-134 from a US citizen or LPR holder.
7. Must be ready to provide a medical certificate.
8. Must be ready to provide a Police clearence to show that the person is not a crimanal.
